Why choose beloved postnatal?
I chose the name Beloved Postnatal for this business because it is close to the core of me. My name means 'Beloved', and as your doula that is how I want you to feel. I hope to create a relationship with you during our time together that is supportive, nurturing and empowering.
My passion for this work began during my own experience of becoming a Mother, and the shock I went through after a traumatic birth experience, where I swiftly realised that our society does not support women and birthing people to recover fully from pregnancy and birth. If we want to heal well, emotionally and physically, after we create a life, then we have to fight for it. If you want to challenge the social narrative that Motherhood = Martyrdom, then I would love to work with you.

I am a deeply passionate person. I am an environmentalist, a feminist and an anti-racist. I work continually to ensure that all people feel included and loved by me. This means being an active LGBTQ+ ally, and creating safe spaces for birthing people and families of all kinds.
I value creativity, and I express this through crochet, cooking, baking, poetry, singing and gardening.
I am a nerd at heart, and I love the lifelong process of learning.
I love babies, breast/bodyfeeding, birth anatomy and the science of baby brain.
I am a Mother to two young boys who are the lights of my life. I am a wife to a lovely bearded man who is my biggest cheerleader and truest best friend.
